The theme for this year’s student speaker is making our world a better place by protecting human rights and securing civil liberties. The allotted time for the speech is five minutes. Well-received speeches are often personal reflections on the educational and communal experience at UC San Diego and inspire fellow graduates to continue living the UC San Diego philosophy out in the world.
The Commencement Student Speaker Selection Committee will review applications and invite candidates to present their proposed speech in person.
