Volunteers are the lifeblood of the station and we're always keen to welcome newcomers and provide long-term supporters with opportunities to get involved.
However, we need to let you know that we do get a much larger number of applicants than we are able to place in ongoing volunteer roles and it can take some time to match people up to a position.
If you are looking for general experience in the broadcasting industry you may be better served by another community station that is in greater need of volunteers and could engage you straight away in a hands-on role. A list of stations can be found on the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia website - www.cbaa.org.au.
If your interest is really on the broadcast/on-air side, then you might want to check out the broadcast training section of our website - http://www.rrr.org.au/contact-us/radio-training/. Graduates from that can move onto graveyard shifts and that is the best process for getting onto the Program Manager's radar. There is also a separate process for people seeking their own show. For more information please go to www.rrr.org.au/programs/proposals/ to submit a proposal.
But...if it's non-broadcast volunteering at Triple R that you're after then please fill out the form below, hit the 'submit' button at the bottom of the page and your application will be finalised!
We'll be in touch when a role comes up that suits your interests.
PLEASE NOTE: In most cases volunteer roles take place during office hours (10am-6pm weekdays). There a very few roles that take place on a weekend.
