Totem Falls PTO                                                    Volunteer Opportunities 2026-2027
We appreciate your readiness to volunteer at Totem Falls! It's thrilling to have dedicated, compassionate, and skilled volunteers like you at our events to ensure an outstanding school year for our kids. Kindly review the opportunities below and select all that pique your interest. 

As each event draws near, event coordinators will contact you with details on how you can contribute. We're looking forward to collaborating with you!

*Classroom volunteers will be handled directly through your child's teacher.  

  • All volunteers MUST have a completed SafeVisitor approval on file before any volunteering may take place.  SafeVisitor Applications are valid for two years from the approval date.  Click on the link below to apply!

School "Beautification" Days (2-3 per year)
-Volunteering your time to help "spruce" up the school grounds, including weeding, laying bark, gardening, etc.  
Popcorn Wednesdays
-Help pop popcorn, hand out popcorn at recess, clean up.  Popcorn Wednesdays are once a month!
Event Photographers 
We would love someone to attend the events the PTO puts on and takes photos for social media, the website and of course to have in the yearbook!
Dudes and Donuts (September 18th)

-We need help with set-up and take-down, decorations, center-pieces, greeters, donut/juice distribution, clean-up.  (Women typically run this event).
Hearing/Vision Screening Help (September 25th, October 8th)
Picture Day/Retakes (September 29th, November 4th)
All School Walk-a-thon (October 15th)
-We need your help to make our annual Walk-a-thon a huge success! This is one of our biggest events of the year, raising funds for our school while encouraging healthy activity and school spirit.  We need station designers, day of crews for set-up and clean-up, parent cheerleaders and helpers at each station.
Monster Mash - School Dance (October 23rd)
-We need your help with decorations, set-up and clean-up, and concessions.
Book Fair Volunteers!  Conference Weeks in October & April

-Work with our amazing librarian, Mrs. Rogers, to:

Set-Up – Unpack boxes, arrange books, and decorate the fair space.

Cashier/Checkout Helper – Assist students with purchases and help manage the register.

Student Shopper Assistant – Guide younger students as they browse, help with wish lists, and find books in their budget.

Restock & Straighten – Keep displays neat and organized throughout the day.

Clean-Up Crew – Pack up leftover books and help return the space to normal after the fair.

Bingo Night (November 13th)
-We need help with set-up and take-down, concessions, prize tables, materials.  
Movie Night! (November 20th)
-We need your help with decorations, set-up and clean-up, and concessions.
Talent Show (February 12th)
-We need help with set-up and take-down, concessions, prize tables, materials.  
Science Fair (April 14th)

Set-Up Crew – Help arrange tables, displays, and signage before the fair begins.

Project Assistant – Welcome students, guide them to their assigned spots, and provide support if they need help setting up their displays.

Exhibit/Special Hands-on Tables:  create and plan a fun science-centered experience for students.  

Clean-Up Crew – Help pack up and return the space to normal after the fair.

Dudettes and Donuts! (April 30th)

-We need help with set-up and take-down, decorations, center-pieces, greeters, donut/juice distribution, clean-up.  (Men typically run this event).
Staff Appreciation Week! (May 3rd-7th)
Team Planning-help plan an amazing week for our incredible staff!

Set-Up Crew – Decorate staff spaces and prepare daily surprises.

Food & Treat Donations – Bring in breakfast items, desserts, drinks, or snacks.

Event Helpers – Assist with serving meals, organizing activities, or managing themed days.

Gift/Prize Coordinator – Help collect, wrap, or distribute staff gifts.

Clean-Up Crew – Tidy up after meals or events.

Parents' Night Out Auction! (TBD)

Set-Up Crew – Help arrange tables, auction displays, and decorations before the event.

Decorations Committee-Help plan amazing decor for the event space.

Experience and Item Procurement-Help obtain items for bidding!  

Check-In/Registration – Greet guests, collect tickets, and provide bid numbers.

Auction Assistants – Monitor silent auction tables, answer questions, and encourage bidding.

Checkout & Payment – Assist guests with item pickup and processing payments at the end of the night.

Clean-Up Crew – Pack up auction items, decorations, and help reset the space.
