The Capitol Hill 4th of July Parade is a beloved annual tradition held along Barracks Row,
8th Street SE, that brings together neighbors, Washington, DC residents, and visitors from around the region and around the world. In 2026, the parade will celebrate its 23rd year, continuing a longstanding community celebration of Independence Day in the nation’s capital.
The parade brings together neighbors, local businesses, elected officials, community groups, veterans, youth organizations, cultural performers, and marching bands in a festive procession celebrating Capitol Hill and the nation’s founding.
Marching officially kicks off at 10:00 AM and concludes at 12:00 PM. We look forward to having you join us!
