Raccoon Mountain Caverns is proud to be home to the South’s finest wild caving expeditions which are regarded as the most challenging and exciting tours in this part of the country. Trained cavers will guide us through the vast underground network of chambers, canyons, tunnels, small streams and large waterfalls that lie beneath Raccoon Mountain. Friday night we will explore the cave system and spend the night sleeping in them. Saturday will be spent in the Chattanooga area.
You will need to bring several sets of clothes and shoes (closed toe), one of which you do not mind getting dirty/wet/muddy. You will also need to bring a sleeping bag or heavy blankets (Reinhardt Central equipment is off limits due to the nature of this trip). The cave temperature is approximately 60 degrees.
Meals are provided other than lunch on Saturday.
