On February 12, Phase One of the Data Center CPAM and ZOAM will go before the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors for public hearing. The Board kicked off this initiative last July as a way to get more control over data center growth in the county. In this phase of their initiative, the Board seeks to guide where and how data centers are allowed to develop. 

Unfortunately, the Planning Commission has recommended denial of the initiative, and the Chamber of Commerce and data center industry are looking for a variety of concessions. Given the voracious energy demand of data centers and their associated impacts, and approximately 200 data centers already approved, PEC and partner groups will be attending to testify in favor of the Board's initiative. We’re asking Loudoun residents to come out to support the Board’s initiative.
