The Food Pantry at Columbia Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
As a volunteer, you will be a valuable part of what The Food Pantry at Columbia does to serve the Columbia University student body. While the responsibilities of a volunteer are limited, the importance of those responsibilities will be felt throughout the entire campus. As such, we expect you to carry them out to the best of your ability.

Food insecurity has a stigma that sometimes prevents students from making the decision to reach out to The Food Pantry at Columbia. As you carry out your responsibilities, you may come into contact with sensitive information pertaining to the health and well-being of students in need or donors who wish to remain anonymous. Accordingly, you agree not to disclose any confidential information acquired during your volunteer service with The Food Pantry at Columbia to anyone outside of The Food Pantry at Columbia, this includes other volunteers.

We take confidentiality very seriously. You will be removed as a volunteer if this confidentiality is broken. Your volunteer service is greatly appreciated.
