Welcome to the 2018 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity Application!
Greetings to all of you beautiful Theater Makers and Story Tellers! We are thrilled that you are applying to be a part of the 2018 festivity. We are celebrating our Tenth Anniversary this year! For those of you that are returning: Welcome Back!! For those of you that are applying for the first time: we are looking forward to getting to know you and your work!

We are looking for a diverse and eclectic group of artists to present work this year. We are looking for new plays, new musicals, revivals, devised work, spoken word, dance, and any other theater that you can dream of. At this year's festival, we are celebrating the amazing community of artists that have been a part of the PCTF family for the last ten years and we are looking to grow our community with the emerging and under-represented voices of today and tomorrow.

We strongly recommend that you read our Artist Manual before applying to our festival. Many of the frequently asked questions are answered there. You can find the Artist Manual under the Artist Resources tab on our website at http://planetconnections.org/festivity-2012/artist-resources/.

Location
We are happy to announce that this year's festival will be returning to The Clemente Center on the Lower East Side! We held the festival there last year and had an all around great experience. You can find out more information about the venue here: http://www.theclementecenter.org/about/
Important Dates and Deadlines
JANUARY 21 - EARLY APPLICATION DEADLINE

FEBRUARY 4 - APPLICATION DEADLINE

FEBRUARY 28 - LATE APPLICATION PERIOD DEADLINE

LATE FEBRUARY - Applicants will be informed if they have been accepted into the Festivity. If you are accepted, you will receive an email with our participant acceptance packet and an artist contract. This contract must be completed and returned to us at the first Artist Meeting and must be accompanied by a non-refundable plan fee (See Festivity Production Plans section below) in the form of a certified check, personal check, or money order in U.S. funds.

EARLY MARCH - 1st ARTIST MEETING - This is a required meeting for all festival participants. We are planning on holding this meeting at Teatro LaTea in the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center so that we can also do a walk through of the space at the same time. This meeting is also your DUE DATE FOR ARTIST CONTRACT. The contract must be filled out and accompanied by your non-refundable plan fee (See Festivity Production Plans section below) in the form of a certified check, personal check or money order in U.S. funds made out to Planet Connections Theatre Festivity.

LATE MAY - 2nd ARTIST MEETING - This is another opportunity for your creative team to visit our theaters.

Application Fees
The application fee must be submitted at the same time as this application. Payments can be sent through PayPal to the address PlanetFeePayments@gmail.com.

- The fee is $15 if you send in your application by the early deadline on 1/21/18.
- The fee is $30 if you send in your application between 1/21/18 and 2/4/18.
- The fee is $40 if you send in your application between 2/5/18 and 2/28/18
