Global CityTech Bridge NYC 2025 application form

To startups interested in business matching in New York City (USA)

CIC Institute operates the Global CityTech Bridge program, which includes support for overseas expansion. As a part of this program, we are planning a business mission to New York City. We will select 4~5 startups for this mission. If you have even a slight interest in joining the New York City mission, we kindly ask you to fill in the form below.

This program is delivered in collaboration with Anywhere Ventures - a New York City-based climate tech innovation company with extensive experience of supporting startups.

Application deadline:  Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and close at Oct 10 (Fri), 2025, 23:59 (JST).

※ After submitting this form, startups that pass the preliminary selection will be asked to participate in an interview with Anywhere Ventures.

※ The final results will be announced by late October. If you are interested, please make sure to keep your schedule open for the planned program dates: December 8–12, 2025 (as well as travel time to and from NYC).

1. New York Mission Program Overview (subject to minor changes)

  • Remote (online) phase: October 27 ~ December 5, 2025

           - Intro & Onboarding meetings

           - Sales Coaching & Business Development

                   - Skill-building and coaching – communication, cultural fluency, and pitch development

                   - Go-to-market (GTM) strategy

                   - Sales and partnership building with potential clients and partners

  • On-site phase: December 8 ~ 12, 2025 (local time)
    (Departure from Japan: around Dec 7th / Return to Japan: around Dec. 13)
    Dates may shift by 1–2 days. Please keep your schedule flexible.

           - 1:1 Meetings with Potential Customers/Partners

           - Participation in HackSummit NYC

Participation requirements:

  1. Participant must have business-level English skills

  2. Participant must be a company representative, or someone authorized by the representative

  3. Participant's company must have the capacity to commit to follow-up if contracts or partnerships are achieved as a result of participation

  4. Participant's company must be founded within 10 years

  5. Participant's company must have business activities or planning to have business activities in Tokyo

  6. Participant's company have a product or a service and must have sales or other track record in Japan

  7. Participant's company must be addressing issues in any of the following categories: 

  • Circular Economy

  • Energy

  • Carbon Capture

  • Mobility

  • UrbanTech

  • Built Environment

Support provided by the program:

  • Business matching meetings and pitching opportunities

  • Shared booth at HackSummit (https://www.hacksummitny.com/)

  • Partial subsidy for travel expenses (up to 250K JPY)

2. Obligations of participants

  • Attend the full on-site phase (Dec. 8–12) in principle (if some dates are difficult, please consult us in advance). You may arrive early or leave late, if you wish.

  • Cover travel and accommodation expenses (CIC can provide subsidies up to JPY 250,000)

  • Participate in pre-mission orientations and sessions (10-15 hours total across 5 weeks)

  • Follow CIC’s instructions as the program's organizing committee (e.g., surveys before/after the program)
