Dear participants,

 My name is Rasheed Bazbouz, a 6th year student at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Latvia, and I'm conducting a study on irritable bowel syndrome under the guidance of Dr. Inta Zile. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) affects the lives of 10-20% of the population, both their mental health and quality of life. The aim of this study is to better understand IBS and improve its treatment options. To date, no research has been conducted on irritable bowel syndrome in Latvia in this respect. Your experience is important for us to find out how IBS affects the people of Latvia. It will take around 15 minutes to complete the survey. Participation in the study is voluntary. The questions of the survey are formulated clearly, however some may cause unpleasant reflections. You can cancel your participation in the study at any time before the "finish" button is pressed. Your completed questionnaire will be assigned a random serial number. The study will ensure confidentiality - google ensures the security of data from anonymous survey forms in accordance with the EU Personal Data Protection Regulation. All data obtained in the study are anonymous, used in an aggregated form. The results of the study will be published publicly so that you and other patients can learn from the findings of the study.
