Welcome to the Latino Medical Student Association Southwest Region Mentorship Program! This program is designed to support pre-health students through meaningful, one-on-one mentorship with current medical students.
Our mission is to uplift and empower aspiring physicians from our communities by building connections, sharing resources, and providing culturally conscious guidance throughout the journey to medical school.
As a mentee, you’ll be paired with a medical student mentor who can offer support in areas such as
- Navigating the pre-health pathway
- MCAT preparation and application advice
- Overcoming challenges like imposter syndrome, financial stress, and lack of representation
- Building confidence and a sense of community
