The Leadership Foundations programme develops the transformational leadership ability of participants. At the core of this lies our commitment to serve our communities and our environment and thus it is important to understand your motivation for attending. Think of times when you have made a positive difference to those around you through leadership or a service you provided. This may be in the programme of performing your daily work, with friends or family, voluntary work including clubs, societies or other commitments which are undertaken for the benefit of others, as well as yourself. *

The Leadership Foundations programme is designed to find how you can turn your passions into practical action in the world. As well as specific leadership tools, and lots of practical experience, the programme will involve you looking into an area that really matters to you, and applying the skills learnt on the programme to making that a reality. Before you arrive we would like you to suggest an idea which could be used as a starting point for this process, although you are in no way bound to it. There are lots of ways you could do this, for example through starting or continuing a community project, initiating a project in your work which will improve the way things are done or the positive impact your work has on others, things you would like to change in your personal, family or work life (this list is by no means exhaustive) etc. *
