CanWaCH and the Equal Futures Network are committed to ensuring that Canadian Civil Society Organization's (CSO) with small operating budgets in Canada can attend the Gender Equality Summit in Whitehorse, Yukon from May 17-18, 2023 to develop partnerships and meaningfully participate in the important discussions that will take place. The Member Travel Grant will provide financial assistance to organizations who would otherwise be unable to attend the summit in-person due to financial barriers and/or limited availability of organizational funding.
Application Criteria:
- Recipients must be CanWaCH or Equal Futures Network Members who identify as small/ grassroots/community or volunteer-led and have a small operating budget.
- Preference will be given to individuals from Organizations whose work touches on gender equality, finances, operations, planning and/or management.
- Additional consideration will focus on providing access for, and ensuring representation from, on-going and historically marginalized and diverse groups.
Grants will be distributed to organizations, not individuals, and CanWaCH will not reimburse organizations or individuals for specific out of pocket travel expenses. To receive the grants, Organizations will invoice CanWaCH and will be expected to post on social media while attending the summit.
Le CanSFE et le Réseau Avenir égalitaire s'engagent à faire en sorte que
les organisations de la société civile (OSC) canadiennes ayant un petit budget
d'exploitation au Canada puissent assister au Sommet sur l'égalité des genres à
Whitehorse, au Yukon, les 17 et 18 mai 2023, afin de développer des
partenariats et de participer de manière significative aux importantes discussions
qui s'y tiendront. La bourse de déplacement des membres fournira une aide
financière aux organisations qui ne pourraient pas assister au sommet en
personne en raison d'obstacles financiers et/ou de la disponibilité limitée des
fonds de l'organisation.
Critères d'admissibilité :
- Les bénéficiaires doivent être membres du
CanSFE ou du Réseau Avenir égalitaire et s’identifier comme organisation
de petite taille, locale, communautaire ou dirigée par des bénévoles et
disposant d'un petit budget d'exploitation.
- La préférence sera accordée aux personnes
issues d'organisations dont le travail porte sur l'égalité des genres, les
finances, l’exploitation, la planification et/ou la gestion.
- Une attention particulière sera accordée
à l'accès et à la représentation des groupes diversifiés et marginalisés en
ce moment et dans le passé.
Les bourses
seront distribuées à des organisations, et non à des individus, et le CanSFE ne
remboursera pas aux organisations ou aux individus leurs frais de déplacement particuliers.
Pour recevoir une bourse, les organisations devront facturer le CanSFE et
publier des messages sur les médias sociaux lors de leur participation au
sommet.
