Please be advised that absence requests during term-time will only be granted for exceptional circumstances.

Absence requests will not be granted for term time holidays. There are 175 non-school days in the year for your child to go on holiday.

Your child has a right to education and it is our duty as a school and yours as a parent to protect that right.

There is a clear link between academic achievement and attendance. Pupils with good attendance (over 97%) are more likely to do better in their GCSEs and school examinations. Missing school leads to lessons missed and learning over time.

This form needs to be filled out and submitted no less than 12 days prior to the first day of the proposed absence.
