Did you have a great time in Investigative Biology Laboratory? Are you internally motivated to help others? Apply to become a UTA. Make sure you have a good sense of your schedule before applying (e.g., what classes you must take next semester). UTAs are hired to attend two lab sections during the week as well as 1 office hour, a one-hour pedagogy meeting, and meetings with Lab Instructors to plan. The pedagogy meeting has homework including reading about education and recording microteaching exercises for practice.
