COTTON PICKERS OF AMERICA MONUMENT and SHARECROPPERS INTERPRETIVE CENTER
KHAFRE, Inc. (non-profit 501 (c) 3), in collaboration with Ed Dwight (monument developer) have organized a grassroots effort to create the Cotton Pickers’ of America Monument and Sharecroppers Interpretive Center, in Bolivar County, MS. The proposed Monument complex will sit in a twenty-acre cotton field, along HWY 61, in the Mississippi Delta. The organizers and builders are asking everyone to join them in acknowledging those folks who planted, chopped and picked cotton in America, for several hundred years. This is the first national attempt to say "Thank You" to those people, who made cotton king and the first Monument that gives significance to the cotton pickin' legacy of America.
