Are you ready for RealSchool? RealSchool is all about self-directed, collaborative learning by doing. Here are a few questions designed to get you ready for the class!

What's your name? *

RealSchool enables students to choose what they want to learn. The concept is called self-directed learning. What subject(s) not taught in school do you want to learn? *

This question is also designed to help you discover what your course curriculum should be: What hobbies would you want to pursue in the classroom? *

The goal of divergent thinking is to generate many ideas about a topic in a short period of time and is one of the skills RealSchool aims to develop in its students. Give five examples of what you would do with a paper clip, aside from using it to clip papers together. *

Learning in RealSchool is mostly done collaboratively; therefore, it's important that you know how to "play nicely in the sandbox" with your peers. Briefly give an example of when you worked well with others. *

We aren't afraid of failure in RealSchool. In fact, we encourage it! Just kidding, but we don't mind making mistakes and we always ask what we could have done better after we've created one of our projects or events. Describe a failure you experienced in your life, and explain the most important lesson you learned from it. *

RealSchool is about students using their talents to add real value to the world. What problem in the world really grinds your gears (um, troubles you)? Can you think of a way your talents and interests might be used to solve that problem? *
