Volunteers get the opportunity to learn about sustainable agriculture through hands-on experiences at Crabtree Farms. Volunteering is a great activity for individuals, groups, or families and we can always use extra hands for a variety of projects. Tasks to Expect: Tasks at the farm can vary with activity levels from moderate to high. Some bending, squatting, lifting may be included in all tasks. There are task options for folks with limited mobility or who may need some shaded options (like washing and produce packing). Activities include, but are not limited to: field prep, planting, plant care, property maintenance, harvesting, weeding and general landscaping.

When You Arrive: Our address is 1000 E 30th St. Chattanooga, TN 37407. When you arrive, drive all the way down the gravel road to the right to park. Come to the barn (red and brown building) and there you will all meet the farmers, sign a volunteer waiver and get prepped/choose tasks for the shift.

What to Bring: Volunteers should bring a water bottle and wear closed toed shoes, long pants and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, etc.). If your team members have work or garden gloves, they are encouraged to bring their own pair!"
