Portrait of a Graduate
Pitt County Schools (PCS) is seeking community input about what 6 characteristics are the most important for our students to possess when they graduate from high school.

There are 3 main sections that make up the portrait of our graduates. There are several characteristics identified within each section. Based on community input, PCS will take the top characteristics from each section to create the 6 most important characteristics we want in our graduates. PCS will use this information to create our Profile of a Graduate
The 3 main sections are:
Section 1: COGNITIVE
These competencies cover the cognitive domain which includes thinking, reasoning, and related skills.

Section 2: PERSONAL
These competencies cover the intrapersonal domain, which involves self-management, including the ability to regulate one’s behavior and emotions to reach goals.

Section 3: INTERPERSONAL
These competencies cover the interpersonal domain, which involves expressing information to others, as well as interpreting others’ messages and responding appropriately.
