The State of Maine, through the County Commissioners, has awarded the Four Seasons Trail Association $90,773 in an American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) grant. The grant funds will be used to purchase a new 2023 Groomer. This award allows us to continue and expand our efforts to provide timely preparation of trails after storms with greater than 6” of snow depth. The enclosed cab unit will also provide for easy nighttime grooming, further advancing trail preparation during these big snowstorms and also keep our volunteer groomer operators warm! Trail participants will access skiable trails and the sliding hill considerably quicker than before. 

The new 2023 Favoro Snow Rabbit SR3X Groomer will help maintain our ski trails, large start area and sliding hill!!  

Four Seasons Trail Association is a non-profit organization which provides year-round outdoor recreational opportunities for our members and non-members alike. We work hand in hand with businesses, youth organizations, other non-profits, and the school communities providing a much-needed public space to access the outdoors. Our trail footprint encompasses 250 acres of land with 15km of Nordic ski trails, 10 miles of snowshoe trails for winter enjoyment. Those same trails are maintained for off season hiking, biking, trail running and walking. Citizen support drives the Four Seasons organization. The all-volunteer board of directors works diligently to fundraise throughout the year, to meet the financial needs of the organization. A purchase of this magnitude will require additional fundraising to ensure the unit can be acquired.
