Teams may use props: These props must be included on the registration form and to be approved by the DC Takedown Booster Club Committee. Fog machines, Bubble machines, Fire, Water, and Glitter are prohibited. Microphones will be provided.
Music must be submitted and approved by DC Takedown Club or Coach Hartman before 1/17/18. Songs can be submitted by google form or emailed to Coach Hartman at gary.hartman@dcsdk12,org. Songs must be the clean version, NO EXPLICIT versions will be accepted. Failure to submit music may result in team's registration being cancelled. The maximum time limit is 90 seconds per act. After 90 seconds the music will be stopped.
The DC Takedown Booster Committee reserves the right to cancel registration if the committee feels the act is inappropriate or offensive to others. If an offensive act is performed, the DC Takedown Booster Committee reserves the right to terminate the performance immediately and the act will be disqualified.
The competition will be judged in these categories:
Lip Sync abilities: How well the performer(s) Lip-Sync the lyrics of the song.Creativity: How original and creative the performance is. Props, Choreography, Costumes, and/or other ideas should be used to impress the judges and generate crowd responses. Be creative!Stage Presence/Choreography: Again, don't just stand there!! Engage the audience, dance, smile, make eye contact with the judges!!!
Each category is worth 15 points each. In the case of a tie, the act with the highest Lip-Sync score will win. The judges' decisions are final. Lip Sync Performer Cost: $10 for Single performer, $20 for 2 or more performers. All funds raised will support your Douglas County Wrestling team.
Lip Sync Spectator fee: $2 at door or 2 non-perishable canned food items.
Awards: Top 3 teams will receive an award.
