2018 Hooding & Pinning Ceremony Registration
Welcome to the 2018 Hooding & Pinning Ceremony Registration page. Please review the information below and fill out this form to register for the event.
This ceremony is a time where the School of Social Work recognizes the graduating students in a more personal way than is permitted at the university’s general commencement. During the ceremony each social work graduate comes forward and walks across the stage to be recognized for their achievements. All social work graduates' names are announced and a faculty member places each MSW's hood over their head. This hood is a special part of academic regalia and denotes scholarly and professional achievements.
Each graduating BSW student will be presented with a pin to recognize their accomplishments.
The Hooding & Pinning Ceremony will take place on Thursday , April 26th 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:30pm at Grand Rapids First (2100 44th St SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49519). The venue is large enough to accommodate all students friends and family therefore no tickets are necessary for this event.
For more specific information regarding what to expect the day of the event please go to the Social Work Graduates of 2018 group on Blackboard.
Please fill this form ONLY if you are planning on attending the ceremony.
Confirmation of registration will be emailed to students Saturday, April 14th 2017.
