Mitä tasapaino on? Mitä sen menettäminen merkitsee? Miten se voi olla mahdollisuus jollekin uudelle? Mitä tapahtuu, kun päästämme irti kontrollista ja annamme epätasapainon tai epäonnistumisen ohjata havaintokykyämme?
Tule mukaan kokeilevaan ja leikkisään työpajaan, jossa tutkimme epätasapainoa, kömpelyyttä ja lipsahduksia luovana voimana. Näyttelijän unohtunut vuorosana, tanssijan horjahdus tai arkinen väärinkäsitys eivät ole virheitä, vaan mahdollisuuksia: ne avaavat odottamattoman yhteyden, liikkeen tai ajatuksen. Felix Guattarin ajattelun hengessä lähestymme liikettä avoimena prosessina, jossa häiriöt ja sattumat voivat paljastaa uusia potentiaaleja.
Työpajassa tutkimme erilaisia performanssitaiteen ja kontakti-improvisaation tekniikoita samalla kun maistelemme viinejä Aphex Twinin rytmien ja Baka-pygmien polyfonisen laulun tahtiin.
Sen lisäksi ohjelmaan kuuluu yhteinen vierailu Gaëtan Rusquet’n ääntä ja liikettä yhdistelevään performanssiin Rivers Chasing Us.
Työpaja on maksuton ja avoin kaikille. Se järjestetään osana kansainvälistä New Performance Turku Biennale -performanssitaidetapahtumaa.
Paikkoja on rajoitetusti. Työpaja toteutetaan suomeksi ja englanniksi.

What is balance? What does it mean to lose it? How can it open up a possibility for something new? What happens when we let go of control and allow imbalance or failure to guide our perception?
Join a playful and experimental workshop where we explore imbalance, awkwardness, and slips as sources of creativity. An actor forgetting their line, a dancer stumbling, or a small misunderstanding in daily life are not mistakes but opportunities: they can open unexpected connections, movements, or ideas. In the spirit of Félix Guattari’s thinking, we approach movement as an open process in which disturbances and chance events can reveal new potentials.
In the workshop, we will explore various techniques of performance art and contact improvisation, while tasting wines to the rhythms of Aphex Twin and the polyphonic singing of the Baka Pygmies.
In addition, we will go together to see Gaëtan Rusquet’s performance Rivers Chasing Us, which combines voice and movement.
The workshop is free of charge and open to everyone. It is organized as part of the international New Performance Turku Biennale.
Places are limited. The workshop will be held in Finnish and English.
