First State Educate is seeking community members committed and engaged to seeing their public schools thrive with rigorous, safe, and supportive environments by serving on their elected local school board.

Why should you serve? Did you know that less than half our students read on grade level and perform math with proficiency? The decisions made by local school boards determine policies, evaluate the superintendent, and guide choices for student curriculum.

First State Educate provides networks, training, and resources for those who are ready to take on the critical roles of a local school board member. We have collaborated to mobilize the largest turnout in school board elections to date and have successfully supported candidates who are now leaders on their boards making an impact on student achievement.
