Morning Program 9:00 (registration and coffee) 10:00am start time: "Roots of Justice: A History of Race and Racism in Nebraska"
The morning portion of the conference will feature authors and contributors from Roots of Justice: A History of Race and Racism in Nebraska, exploring important chapters of Nebraska's history and the experiences of communities that have often been overlooked.
Keynote panelists include authors from selected chapters of "Roots of Justice":
Dr. Gabriel Bruguier — Native American Chapter
Dr. Emira Ibrahimpašić — Refugee Chapter
Sharon R. Ishii-Jordan — Asian American Chapter
Afternoon Workshops 1:00pm: The afternoon will feature three workshops connected to the three priority areas of Nebraskans for Peace: Anti-War “Civil Dialogue as a Tool for Peacebuilding” Presented by Mikaela VanMoorleghem, Social Justice “Voting: A Right for All, Accessible to Some, Impactful for All” Presented by Rachel Gibson, and Environment “AI, Datacenters, and Energy Democracy” Presented by Ryan Wishart.
