Illinois Permanent Paid Sick Days Sign-on
In Illinois, 1.5 million workers have no right to a single paid sick day to help weather this crisis or common annual illnesses like the flu.

We are calling upon our Illinois leaders to pass legislation that includes up to 5 permanent paid sick days for use, to be accrued at a rate of 1 hour of sick time for each 40 hours worked. It would cover workers who need to take time off for their own illness or that of a family member; for a school or building closure by order of a public official; for a need related to their own or a family member's experience with domestic violence, sexual violence, or stalking; or to visit a family member in jail or prison, or for their own of a family member's civil or criminal trial or hearing.
