This 5-day outdoor Tamil cultural festival brings together the richness of Malaysian Indian traditions through food, dance, music, art, games, rituals, and so much more! It’s a vibrant celebration that fosters unity through culture and community, attracting participants from all walks of life.

The festival features traditional games, cultural workshops, live performances, festive bazaars, and many exciting activities — making it the perfect cultural outing for families and friends.

✨ One of the festival’s enchanting highlights is Pesta Kondattam’s POOMALAI WEAVES – Flower Garland Tying Challenge — a fragrant showcase of creativity and devotion. Garlands, or poomalai, symbolize beauty, purity, respect, and joy, and this challenge celebrates the artistry of weaving flowers into vibrant cultural expressions. Open to participants of all ages and backgrounds, it’s a competition that honours tradition while celebrating individual creativity.

We invite individuals from across Malaysia to showcase their floral artistry and craftsmanship at the Poomalai Weaves Challenge! The competition will take place on Friday, 12th September 2025 | 4.00 PM – 6.00 PM at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur. Bring your imagination, weave your blooms, and be part of this beautiful celebration of culture and tradition.
