Håfa adai! Thank you for your interest in the Department of Agriculture's Forestry & Soil Resource Division (FSRD)'s Village Forest Friends program, and for your dedication to Guam's forests!
Overview: The Village Forest Friends (VFF) is a volunteer program designed to engage and empower the community in forestry management and stewardship. Participants will log their volunteer efforts and receive points based on the system below. Then those with the highest points will be recognized and rewarded by the Department of Agriculture. This program will not only help restore and maintain Guam's forests but also honor the hard work of dedicated community members.
Point System:
- Attending an FSRD outreach/tabling event: 50 pts
- Attending an FSRD tree planting or other volunteer activity: 100 pts
- Attending an FSRD Citizen Forester Program training or project: 150 pts
About this Form: This is the VFF Volunteer Log. After participating in any of the above categories of volunteer work, you complete this form and your efforts will be logged and recorded. Then at the end of every three months (starting every January), the highest scoring community member will be mentioned on DOAG’s online media and be awarded with various prizes and/or opportunities for arbor-related professional training.
SI YU'OS MA'ÅSE!
