Family Fish Explore, Sunday, Oct 18 at 2 pm WAITLIST (please register - if a space opens up, you will be notified)
Come join biologists Linda Huchinson and Sinead Addis to see the Kentville Ravine through the eyes of the migratory fish that call it home! As we search for clues to the migratory fish's secret of survival, we will investigate the dynamics of stream science including water filtration, habitat suitability, and macroinvertebrate identification. This is a family event in collaboration with the Jijuktu’kwejk Watershed Alliance and focused on ages 8-12.

Date: Sunday, October 18

Time: 2:00 - 4:00 pm

Location: Kentville Ravine

Linda Hutchinson completed her MSc in Biology at Acadia University in February 2026, and has been a board member with the BNS since October 2024. She has led multiple BNS kids programs, including guided hikes, day camps, and workshops.

Sinead Addis recently joined the Jijuktu'kwejk Watershed Alliance as the Operations Manager. She completed her Master of Marine Management (MMM) degree at Dalhousie University in December 2025, and has over three years of experience conducting aquatic fieldwork.
