Stutter to Strutter
We are developing an app to help 11-18 year olds feel more comfortable interacting socially. Part of the app is focused on being able to talk without feeling awkward, embarrassed, worried, or annoyed with yourself in a variety of situations: interviews, auditions, when changing schools, talking to the opposite sex, introducing yourself at a party, talking to your crush, and more. Another part is focused on anxieties, most particularly scoial anxiety. We will include links to helpful websites, information on diagnosing your anxiety, what to do if you think you or a friend have anxiety, and how to talk about it to your family or friends. The app will include a panic button for when you are experiencing an anxiety/panic attack with a video and written text that you or a friend can watch/read when you are in need of calming down. Our aim is to help teenagers to have a happy, confident social life where they can express themselves and feel comfortable whatever life throws at them.
