LBGT Student Advisory Council Application

Are you looking to make a difference at WMU? The Office of Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender (LBGT) Student Services has developed a Student Advisory Council to help inform the office as well as departments and resources throughout Western Michigan University on diversity and inclusion efforts throughout the university with a focus on creating a safe and welcoming campus inclusive of sexual orientation and gender identity.

The council is comprised of up to 15 students who will learn about opportunities and services provided at WMU. Council members are expected to attend bi-weekly two hour meetings, where we will meet with leaders and administrators from across campus. In the spring semester, the council will put together a group project based off what we learned in the fall semester to address an area of need and support LBGTA-inclusion at WMU.

Participation in the LBGT Student Advisory Council is a 2 semester commitment.

If you are selected to move forward in the application process, you will be invited to participate in a group interview.

Thank you!
