The Career KickStarter is a program designed to foster networking and mentorship within the environmental sector. Students will be matched with an experienced professional in a mentorship relationship. We hope this experience will provide students with insights into careers within the environmental field while also expanding your professional network for future employment.
We will ask you to prepare questions and bring a resume to share with mentors attending the event, to 1) expand your professional network and 2) receive advice on how to improve your resume for future job applications.
This is a great opportunity to meet with professionals who are going out of their way to help Clemson students enter a career in the environmental sector.
The KickStarter event will be held on Thursday, April 3rd from 3:30-5:00 pm at Clemson Hydrogeology Symposium in the Madren Center Ballroom (230 Madren Center Drive, Clemson, SC).
New this year, we are also hosting a second, additional session from 12 - 1 pm in Meeting Room 1, to accommodate those who cannot attend the 3:30 - 5 pm session.
**By completing this form you are guaranteeing you will attend the event. Attendance is critical to ensure the event functions properly.** The deadline to register for this event is March 27th, 2025 at 11:59 pm. Closer to the event, you will be emailed with more in-depth information, including the name of the professional mentor you have been matched with.
The event will be capped at 20-25 students to ensure enough professionals are available to mentor. Students presenting at the Symposium will have priority for participating; other students will be selected based upon their expected graduation date, submission of their CV, and an eagerness to participate.
