**Manager Interest Period Closes November 30th**
If you want to manage a Select team in Spring 2025, fill this out. There is a separate interest form for our full recreational league.
Background: USA Softball created the Select program to allow girls to practice and/or play games and tournaments IN ADDITION TO playing on a spring recreational team. (In other words, if invited, they play on two separate teams — a rec team and the Select team.)
Any girl who is registered for the 2025 Spring Rec season can express interest in also playing on a Select team, but rosters will be decided by Select team managers and placement is not guaranteed.
Select teams can practice or play together only once a week, usually on Sundays.
Participation on Select teams requires additional costs, which depend on tournaments and games played. Select teams may travel to tournaments. All fees are the responsibility of the individual parent/player. Select is not covered in the spring recreation season's registration fees.

MANAGERS:The number of Select teams per division will depend on the availability of qualified managers and key players in positions like catcher and pitcher. PYSA plans to host:- One or two 8U teams
- Three or four 10U teams
- Three or four 12U teams
- One or two 14U teams
Select managers should be experienced, familiar with the players in their age division, and have managed a team previously (spring, All Stars or fall).
Managers will be able to select their team, and USA Softball allows rosters to carry up to 20 girls. (A large roster is not required, but may be helpful if some girls don't want to commit to every Sunday in addition to their rec team.)
Players can indicate their interest in Select when they register for Spring. AGAIN: All Select players MUST register for the Spring Rec season AND must be full participants on their rec teams.
Teams are formed at the sole discretion of the manager and final rosters are approved by the Board.
PYSA will allow managers to leverage the spring player assessments on 1/5/25 as a chance to evaluate players interested in playing Select.
Participation in the select program does not guarantee a spot on an All-Star team.
