Each year we award a number of honorary degrees at our graduation ceremonies. Building relationships with outstanding individuals who share our values and aspirations in this way is important for our University’s profile and reputation.

Our prime focus is on candidates with a high level of international standing, helping us to build valuable connections and reinforcing our position as a leading global university.

Even where no existing relationship with a candidate exists, we are keen to hear suggestions of exceptional people with an international profile whose values and areas of expertise align with the University. Candidates with local and national connections will of course also be considered.

We welcome suggestions from across our University community. To make a nomination, carefully read the criteria for nominations on our honorary degrees web pages and then complete this nomination form by Friday 12 September 2025, providing as much detail as you can.
