New Faculty Orientation, Dinner & Tours

This year’s New Faculty Orientation (NFO) will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, August 14 and 15, with an optional third day on Friday, August 16.

On Wednesday evening, there will be a dinner for new faculty and their families. Kids are welcome—there will be kid-friendly food, plus movies, games, and more.

NFO will be held in the Business Innovation Building (BIB).

The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) will be hosting a session on "Understanding Your Immigration Status and Green Card Options with OISS" on Friday, August 16, 9am - 11am. If you require visa support, we request that you attend this session.

The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) will be hosting drop-in "office hours" on Friday, August 16, 10:30am - 12:30pm. (See next question for a list of topics.)

At the CITL session on Friday, there will be staff ready to answer questions about the topics below, and more. Please indicate which topics you are interested in talking with CITL about. (Of course you can talk to them about any topics, whether or not you indicate it below—but this will help make sure they have the right staff members available at the event.)
Lehigh's Communications team will be hosting drop-in "office hours" on Friday, August 16, 10:30am - 12:30pm, to offer help on topics such as building a faculty website, social media for academics, interacting with media organizations, and pitching your research to a broad audience.
