O'Dowd students are invited to spend 6 days during Spring Break 2019 in the Appalachia region of the U.S. learning about Social Justice, Simple Living, Solidarity/ Community, Spirituality, Sustainability, and Service. Students will partake in programming of the Appalachia Institute of Wheeling Jesuit University (
http://www.wju.edu/ai/). Days will be spent in service to the community in rural West Virginia. Check out the Appalachia Institute blog to read about other students' experiences:

Participate in 3 preparation meetings before the trip. 3 Friday mornings at 7:15am in February and March. Specific dates TBD.
Aid in recruitment for the following year.
$800-$1000 payment (depending on number of students on the trip. This includes airfare).
