#FreeTheArctic30

In September, 28 Greenpeace International activists and two freelance photojournalists were detained under armed guard by the Russian authorities after a peaceful protest against Arctic oil drilling. Piracy charges are being brought which carry a maximum 15 year prison sentence.

This Saturday, thousands of people across the world will join a global day of solidarity for the Arctic 30. Will you join them?

Our brave friends took a stand to protect the Arctic and our climate. Now they need you to take a stand for them and for our planet.

Greenpeace Africa is organising gatherings to show our support in Joburg, Durban, and Cape Town. Please join us.
