Sam Bell Memorial Foundation                                         Chicago Street Safety Initiative - 1,000 Signatures

The Chicago Street Safety initiative was created by The Samuel Bell Memorial Foundation in honor of Sam and all of the other commuters who have lost their lives in Chicago. The Samuel Bell Memorial Foundation is currently compiling data and outlining solutions that will be proposed to the City of Chicago in an effort to enhance safety measures at Huron Street and Milwaukee Avenue.

On September 8, 2022, Sam Bell was riding his bike in a protected bike lane on Milwaukee Avenue. near Huron Street.  A driver failed to yield before turning and Sam passed away as a result of the accident. Efforts are  now being pursued to enhance the signage and visibility for cyclists and pedestrians at the intersection where the accident occurred.

By completing the form below, you are supporting efforts made by the Sam Bell Memorial Foundation to work in partnership with the City of Chicago to identify and execute a reasonable and effective solution/s to enhance safety and awareness. Solutions will be implemented immediately or as soon as is possible.

Please share this form with everyone you know, especially Chicago drivers and commuters to help us reach our goal of 1,000 signatures by December 1.

Thank you for your support! With love, for Sam.
