Gate Money Survey
When people are released/paroled from a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) institution, by law, they are to receive a $200 release allowance known as 'Gate Money.' Unfortunately,  CDCR often deducts transportation and clothing costs from individuals who do not have supports in place. This leads to their release allowance being drastically reduced, especially for those traveling far to their paroling counties.

We want to know about your experience with this issue. Data collected will be used to stop CDCR from continuing with this practice and help us change the law. If you have any questions, please contact Claudia J. Gonzalez at cgonzalez@rootandrebound.org

NOTE: Please only take this survey if CDCR took a portion of your Gate Money
