2019 Tiny Fields Project Application - Deadline May 3rd, 2019
Thank you for your interest in the Tiny Fields Project!
We would love to give a Tiny Fields to absolutely everyone, but have limited resources. We will distribute as many as we can. Fields are chosen by the amount of sun your location gets, first come first serve, and if your location fits our requirements. All Fields must be on a boulevard, alley or publicly accessible space. We will work with you to find an appropriate spot. If you rent your home, you must get written approval from your landlord. There are limited spaces available in community gardens if needed.
We currently work with the Victory, Cleveland, Shingle Creek, Folwell, Near North and Willard Hay neighborhoods, but are building partnerships with other neighborhoods in North Minneapolis.
We will supply seed, seedlings and instruction and help you till your field. You are responsible for planting, tending, weeding, mulching and harvesting. Everything you harvest is yours! We ask that you participate in the Tiny Fields Facebook or Instagram pages and make a minimum of two post per season.
After you fill out an application, you will be contacted shortly to discuss your Field. We will set up an appointment to assess your location and speak briefly about the program. If filling out a paper application please send or drop at the ViNA office located at 2200 N 44th Ave, Minneapolis no later than April 29th, 2019.
