TR: Tech Ready Fall 2020 VIRTUAL ONR Hack:TR Hackathon
Sign-up here to get the link sent to you for the kickoff! Toms River Regional Schools was recently awarded a third year of a major grant from the Office of Naval Research to implement new units and activities for secondary staff and students in the area of computer programming, or coding. The programming will be geared towards students in grades 6-12 but all are welcome to participate in the hackathon from November 20-22.  The open to all hackathon solving the world’s problems kicks off around the clock from Friday, 11/20 at 3 pm -Sunday 11/22. Pitch your best idea, prototype your solution, and even better if it actually works!!!

You do not have to have any knowledge of advanced math or computer science. TechReady is an opportunity to see what's amazing about coding and to challenge yourself to discover a new and possibly career-building interest.

Meet the Hackathon Leaders, learn about the design challenges, and participate in a fun activity!  Family teams are also welcome and encouraged to participate!

By selecting "We Agree" below, I agree to allow my child to participate fully in the ONR TR:TechReady Hackathon Boot Camp by using the school Google Account to access the apps and download requisite software, participating with a camera on the majority of the time in Google Meets to encourage collaboration and feedback, and continue to use Google Applications, primarily Google Classroom, for communications. Teachers and students may interact through remote access to the student chrome desktop during hackathon hours using securly.com/classroom.  Photos and videos of the students may be taken and used for education/outreach purposes.
