Spring 2016 English Student Learning Outcomes Assessment
The following courses have CSLOs that are being accessed in Spring 2016:

ENGLV02 CSLO-3 Evaluate and gather information from print and electronic sources.
ENGLV05 CSLO-2 Students will demonstrate an understanding of the theory and methodology of reading.
ENGLV10 CSLO-2 Prepare original pieces of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama or film utilizing the appropriate conventions of writing for each genre.
ENGLV11A CSLO-2 Prepare original pieces of moderate length in fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama or film utilizing the appropriate conventions of writing for each genre.
ENGLV11B CSLO-2 Prepare original pieces of moderate length in fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama or film utilizing the appropriate conventions of writing for each genre and incorporating elements of style from the writers studied.
ENGLV21A CSLO-1 Differentiate between texts representative of different literary movements or time periods, and authors from the period covering the Celtic epic to the end of the 18th century.
ENGLV22B CSLO-1 Differentiate between texts representative of different literary movements or time periods, and authors from the beginning of the Civil War to the post-modern period.
ENGLV29A CSLO-3 Distinguish between genres of film.
ENGLV29B CSLO-2 Evaluate each genre of film from a critical perspective.

IMPORTANT: An electronic copy of this form will be sent ONLY to the English Department Chair through Google Docs.  Google Docs data is stored off the VCCCD servers, and no one else will have access to individual faculty information. Only aggregate data will be reported for each course.
