Intergroup Community Building Participant Application
The Intergroup Community Building Initiative is a program sponsored by the Columbia Office of Multicultural Affairs in collaboration with student leaders, the Columbia Office of Residential Life & Greek Programs, The Columbia Center for Student Advising, Columbia Community Impact, the Columbia Office of Student Engagement, Barnard/Columbia Hillel, and Barnard Student Life. This initiative is aimed at creating a more cohesive Columbia/Barnard community across difference. Through a two tiered approach, involving both upper class peer facilitators, and first and second year participants, we seek to provide undergraduate students with a set of tools and experiences that will enrich their campus experience, and empower them to be change agents on campus and in the world.

Are you a first year or sophomore who is looking to build real connections across different identity communities, make new friendships, and become engaged in a community that values diversity in all of its forms?

Are you a new student who is still searching for a community where you can be yourself?

Are you interested in gaining a new set of tools and experiences that will enrich your campus experience?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Intergroup Community Building Initiative (ICBI) is the perfect opportunity for you!
