The Office of Student Experience & Leadership is helping to put together a contingent to walk in the 70th annual Parada del Sol, which is a parade and community celebration in Scottsdale. There will be thousands of spectators and a lot of community groups walking in the parade with high school bands, horses, vehicles, and so much more.
We would love to have a good showing of SCC students, alumni, staff and faculty. Artie the Artichoke will also be joining! Please sign up if you are interested in attending.
The parade will be February 3rd from 10:00am-12:00pm. The SCC group will be meeting at a nearby parking lot and then heading over to the staging area prior to stepping off for the parade. Although the parade is from 10:00am-12:00pm, the timing of the parade is dependent upon which number entry SCC is. For example, last year SCC was entry #93 and did not step off until around 11:00am. More details will be shared once the entry number is confirmed.
