DODGERS DELAY Info Form

We are a collective movement of Madison parents advocating for children to learn to use technology in a mindful and deliberate way. Our mission is to delay unfettered access to the internet and social media amongst Madison children. We support a play-based childhood that fosters healthy social and emotional development.

We look to achieve this by promoting:

  • Delayed access to social media

  • Delayed unfettered access to the internet

  • Delayed access to fully-loaded smartphones

  • “Bell to bell phone away” policies (phone away for the day schools)

  • Intentional use of technology in Madison Public Schools- kids on screens to enrich their learning

  • Promote learning and interacting without screens during the school day

We plan to partner with local schools to create safe digital spaces to promote social and emotional well-being in our children.   We seek to collaborate with and support local schools in fostering critical digital literacy in an ever-evolving landscape.
