Politics of Libraries VI Presentation Proposal
We invite practitioners, scholars, activists, students, and other members of the general public interested in library and information work to submit proposals on the topic of “Solidarity” in the GLAM sector.  

Some topics of interest are as follows: 

  • Unionization, collective bargaining, and collective agreements

  • Workplace advocacy, workplace activism, labour organizing and resistance

  • Professional and paraprofessional relationships and tensions

  • White supremacy, heteronormative patriarchy, gendering of labour and ableism

  • Academic freedom and critique as care

  • Capital/capitalism

  • Vocational awe

Please submit proposals (not to exceed 400 words) for individual (20 minute presentations) or group/panel contributions.

Additionally, please provide preference for presentation date and recording option.
