IB students register and take IB exams in grades 11 and 12. WCPS has agreed to pay the registration fees for each exam. IB Diploma Program students are expected to complete six IB subject group courses, a Theory of Knowledge course, an extended essay, and a CAS Portfolio. Each IB course requires students to complete an internal assessment and two or three external assessments. If a student fails to complete one assessment component either an internal or external assessment, he/she will receive a failing score from IBO and will be expected to reimburse WCPS the exam costs WCPS invested, including students who qualify for fee waivers. *
