Passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) is increasingly being employed
in biodiversity surveys over diverse regions in the world. Many researchers and practitioners use passive acoustic monitoring (PAM) as
a primary or complementary biodiversity sample methodology. Because PAM is based
on interdisciplinary knowledge and formal training opportunities are relatively
scarce for most of the users around the globe, we often find ourselves with
many questions and few opportunities to discuss them.
With the goal of serving as a useful resource for PAM users, the
Capacity Building team of the K. Lisa Yang Center for Conservation Bioacoustics
will open the doors with virtual office hours for anyone interested in asking
PAM-related questions on any stage of a project. The topics we usually provide guidance are often related with whether PAM is useful for a project, study design, picking a method to analyze acoustic data.
The virtual office will take place according to the availability of different instructors from the Yang Center. If you are interested in scheduling an office hour, fill this form out and we will respond to it to further schedule a meeting.
We look forward to talking to you!
