Once data has been recovered and provided, the service is considered completed. B2B customers are responsible for the dispersement of this data to their customers. Per our security practices, South Bay Mobile Repairs will not provide data to anyone other than the person that created the original order. Data recovery devices are shipped back as is once data is recovered and will likely not be fully reassembled/functional.
It is the sender's responsibility to properly pack and ship items. South Bay Mobile Repairs is not responsible for items that are received damaged. Any damaged boxes will be recorded and immediately reported to the sender.
Bench Fees
South Bay Mobile Repairs specializes in board level repairs and data recovery solutions. If a repair solution is offered/provided but declined either by a shop or customer, simply pay a $39 bench fee to cover our time, expertise, and diagnostic info, and we will send the device back.
Devices are often sent in for board repairs and end up only having parts issues based on our diagnostics. We encourage all shops to always test devices with known good parts before assuming a board issue. Devices with parts issues only will assess the $39 bench fee covering the diagnostic process, report, and logistics.
Cleanup Fee
A "Cleanup Fee" of $39 will apply to devices with signs of bug/rodent infestation and to devices with previously attempted board work that results in additional labor in order to complete the repair.
No Fix - No Fee
If we are unable to provide a diagnosis or a repair solution, the sender will not be billed for any services. We will only bill for the return shipping costs (usually around $10 - $15).
