FirstWorks in Theatre@First's workshop program for new, unproduced plays. With this program we aim to engage with new playwrights and support new works.  

Details for Reading Committee as well as for those interested in directing a FirstWorks show are below.

Core duties include:
- Read & give feedback on approximately five to ten 5-page excerpts. You will also be asked to rank your submissions.
- Review the finalists' full-script submissions.  

Members of the Reading Committee can also volunteer to direct a FirstWorks show. Directors of FirstWorks shows take an active role in the workshopping process of a new play.
Core duties include:
- Recruit actors
- Provide a table read of the chosen play
- Conduct 4-6 rehearsals + dress rehearsal
- Give initial feedback to the playwright
